Individual Therapy

Stop "dealing" and start HEALING to begin moving  forward.

Ari and Joanna provide SHORT-TERM, goal-oriented individual therapy.  Short-term therapy is 16 sessions, or 4 months, (plus 2 booster sessions) focused on offering targeted interventions for a specific issue that is impacting your life today.  So rather than talk about “the problem of the week,” short-term individual therapy prioritizes your principal concerns.

Think of it like this:  If you need physical therapy to rehabilitate your shoulder muscle, strengthening your overall body can be beneficial, and at the same time, you’ll want an expert to focus and support you in mending your shoulder.  In the same vein, a short-term individual therapist directs you to resolve the main concern that brings you in the door so you can return back to living fully.  

This is a hands-on, engaging, active approach.  Because when the therapist and the client know that there’s a limitation on time, they are more likely to be deeply focused on the goal rather than use therapy as a venting session without much focus.

As an individual therapist, I can help you:

Short-Term Trauma Intensives are not for everyone! This model of trauma recovery work is geared towards adults who feel ready to process a traumatic event (or events), have been engaged in therapy in the past, regularly utilize tools for self-care and have some capacity to regulate BIG emotions.

 

Because I integrate spiritual, experiential, somatic, and visualization techniques, my style is best suited for people with openness to these methods of healing.
