Making the Investment:

Therapy and coaching are an investment in yourself and in your future.  As you begin to feel better, the benefits go beyond feeling better today; the changes you make now have compounding gains that unfold over the course of your life.  Imagine if you could have made changes back in the past; where could you be today?  And although we can’t go back and change the past, we can start investing today to bring a better tomorrow.

Know that as you invest in this process, so do we.  As therapist and coaches, we’re constantly building upon our experience as we continue to engage in learning the newest techniques in the field. Our goal is to offer grounded, sensible and effective services that bring authentic and valuable results to transforming your life and relationships.

We will discuss fees during our free 30-minute consultation.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

We have a limited number of sliding scale (reduced rate) AND pro-bono slots available to clients who are experiencing hardship or have extenuating circumstances that may impede paying the above fees.  We can discuss these slots during our free 30 minute consultation.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals and on the circumstances that bring you in; everyone is different.  We don’t believe that therapy/coaching should last forever and our goal is to ‘get you to where your want to go’ as soon and as effectively as possible.

How often do we meet?

There are many ways to for us to schedule the frequency of meetings.  Some people prefer to meet regularly once-a-week, while others prefer more time between sessions to process.  Everyone is different and even the same person can adjust the frequency of meetings depending on the circumstances that come up in life.  Please know that you don’t need to decide this right now and that part of the free 30-minute consultation can be used to discuss how often it makes sense for us to meet.

Schedule & availability:

We appreciate and honor that your work, family, or academic schedule may continuously be changing.  Accordingly, we try to offer a meeting time that fits when you’re most available and have access to a personal and confidential space to do this work.  Currently, we are available Monday thru Thursday with meeting times available from early morning thru evening hours to accommodate most work schedules.  In keeping with our own healthy, work-life balance we’re not available on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.

Payment & cancellation policies:

All major credit cards and eligible health savings accounts (HSA) are accepted for payment.  If you're unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid incurring the standard session fee.

To optimize the process and allow our work to progress at an appropriate pace, we do not work with insurance.  If however your insurance provides you with "out of network coverage", we can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.  Please note that not all insurance companies include teletherapy as a covered benefit and it will be your responsibility to confirm with your plan that our virtual sessions will be covered.

To check to see if you qualify for

"Out of Network Benefits"

call your insurance company to verify the following

(The telephone number to call can often be found on the back of your

insurance card):

  1. Am I covered for out-of-network benefits?

  2. Does it include teletherapy?

  3. What is the percentage that is covered?

  4. What is my out-of-network deductible for Individual and/or couples?

  5. Are there any exclusions to my mental health coverage?

  6. How much of my deductible has been met this year?

  7. What is my out-of-network coinsurance (copay) for mental health?

  8. How many therapy sessions does my plan cover (pending medical necessity)?

  9. Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

  10. How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?

Once your out of network benefits are confirmed, and you're all set to go ...

  1. Ask Your Therapist for a Superbill: At the end of each month, you will be provided with a document (superbill) detailing a mental health diagnosis, the number of sessions you’ve had and the amount you’ve paid.

  2. Submit for Reimbursement: You are responsible for submitting the superbill with any other claim forms your insurance requires.

  3. Get Reimbursed: Your insurance company will mail you a check to reimburse you for the portion covered by your benefits.
